"What are you thinking?"
This question just invokes major argument. Why? Well, because basically guys don't know how to answer this. They will think that their partners are expecting them to commend them or say something sweet to them, which just puts them out there lying their hearts out. Most men just think about sex or sports so ladies, don't expect too much if ever you do ask this question to them.

"What would you do if I died?"
The question that usually follow this one is "Will you remarry?" And if your partner is the average fellow, he probably will. You certainly don't wanna hear that because it will just break your heart. And if he did tell you that he will not, you'll just probably accuse him of being dishonest. Besides, if you guys are not yet married, asking this question is like telling them that you already wanna get married, which is the ultimate fear of most men.

"Do you love me?"
Of course, they do. Why else would they still be hanging out with you if they don't. This question just shows that you are doubting them, instead of what you plan to do which is reassuring your love for each other. Most guys just don't wanna take that direction so women should jus be satisfied that they have a man.

"Do you think she's prettier than me?"
Only ask men this question if you are ready to break up with them. This is probably the second most difficult question for them to answer, well because this is like a trick question that if they answer to no, you will think they are liars. And if they answer yes, they'll think that you will call them cheating bastards. Just don't put your partners in this situation or else just suffer the consequence of a pretty long fight.

"Do I look fat?"

We certainly hope that those things did help you out and will help you out more in the time. Of course, we know that you guys still want more. So as a follow-up to that article, here is another article that will help you avoid any other unnecessary fight that may come your way. Here are some things you guys out there should never ask your girlfriends (Next post, something for the ladies.)

"Can I borrow some money?"
It may sound too cliche but it it still the common belief that the man is supposed to provide for the woman in their relationship. This is to make her feel more secure and sure about your relationship. So asking her to lend you money shatters this faith completely, especially to those women who are more dependent to their partners. This will also make her question you money sense, putting doubt in her mind about you being the strong and capable alpha-male who is supposed to have the financial responsibility in the relationship. If you are having money problems, why not just ask a buddy or get another job.

"Are you wearing that?"
There's a reason why women take so much time getting prepared when you guys are going out for a date. And that is because they are always making sure that they look good for you. This also assures them about themselves. But when you ask them this question, it's just the same as telling them that they are ugly or they don't look good at all. This question is also telling her that all her hard work in preparing for you just went down the drain. Just appreciate the fact that they took time to dress up because let's admit it, dressing up for women is a lot more difficult than for men.

"Why don't you go to the gym?"
This is a like the previous one. Asking him this question is just like telling her that she is a fat pig. And you know that no woman likes being told that she is fat. So if you ever feel that your girlfriend is gaining more weight than necessary, try telling her in a more subtle way.

"How many guys have you slept with?"
Most guys are pretty much fantasizing that their girlfriends are virginal being untouched by any form of vulgarity. But most of the time, this is not the case. It's a common notion that when men finish up during sex, most women may not have really started with theirs. That is why there have been so many popular consensus about women faking it to avoid hurting the ego and feelings of their partner. However, this doesn't give any man rights to ask if their partner did finish up like he did. The question just puts her in the spot and brings into question her sincerity to you. Here at Dating 4-1-1, we've been telling you guys that one of the best way to impress other people is by being a great conversationalist. Knowing what to say, when to say it and how to say it are essentials in becoming a smooth talker who will get all the ladies for the guys and guys for the ladies. But of course, there are still certain things that you must stir clear to avoid any unnecessary events. As they say, there is alwasy an exception to the rule. And those exceptions are the following...

"She's/He's Hot!"
No matter what you do, never ever let your partner hear you say complimenting other people for being hot or beautiful or attractive. Though it's a normal thing to admire other people, just be sure not to be too vocal about it when in front of your lover. This is usually the cause of fights between partners and one of the main reason of relationships breaking up. If you still can't help yourself, better start looking for someone else. Or just hope that the person you referred to as hot won't mind going out with you.

"My ex would..."
Don't ever start a statement with these words, unles you want to start a big fight. Comparing you current partner to your ex-boyfriend or ex-girlfriend is just a war waiting to happen. You lover have trusted that you have already moved on, so making any reference to your exes will just bring you back to awkward-ville, and surely you don't like that. Just remember that current relations and exes just won't mix.

"Your friend is a bitch/dick."
Never ever bad-mouht their friends, no matter how big of an asshole they really are. Those are people they trust and care about. Just assume that you too don't like your partner saying bad things about your friends, especially those who are really close to you. This is especially true with girls and their BFF.

"You bitch/dick."
If they don't like you telling bad things about their friends, they probably won't like it when you do it to them. Calling them "bitch" or "dick" or any cuss word for that matter is just not right. Not even when you are in the heat of the moment while your arte making love. Leave those kind of dirty talks to the pornstars, unless your girlfriend/boyfriend dig a little kinkiness in bed.

"I'm not good enough for you."
We've discussed ho most people admire confidence. So saying this line is just admitting to your partner that you are one big loser who should not even had the chance with them. Besides, no one likes quitters.

"If you really love me, you would..."
Saying saomething that start with these words is just a big no-no. First of all, you are giving them bad signals that you are not the one for them. Second of all, this statement just brags that you are questioning their love towards you. And finally, you are trying to make your partner do something that they really don't want to do, which in many ways tell them that you are a controlling bastard.

"You're just like your mother/father."
People love their parents, but that does not mean that they wanna be like them when they grow up. No matter what you might want to believe, no one would want to be compared to their mother or father because most children's aim in life is to be better than their parents. This statement is just saying that they failed miserably in life because you, of all the people, still thinks that they are just like their parents.

"I'm not in the mood"
Okay, this is not so much for the ladies because let's admit it, there's a double standard when it comes to bed. But for guys to say that they are not in the mood, it's just like a slap in the face of your ladylove because it is not that often that women make the first move when it comes to having sex. So turning them down on those rare situations is just a fight waiting to happen.

"I don't like that..."
No matter how hideous their stuff look to you, never ever tell your partner that you don't like it. You might get away with not complimenting their new shirt, pants or hair style, but trying to tell them that it's not good and you don't like it just gives them the signal to start shouting at you for being insensitive and being an ass.

The Dating Ten Commandments

Though many say that there are really no clear and standard rules when it comes to dating (we here at Dating 4-1-1 believe so too), there are still somethings we can do to make sure that we have a very healthy and successful dating life. That is why we on this humble site decided to come up with the Dating Ten Commandments. And we came up with these:

1. Thou shall not talk about the exes too much.

Everybody has their own baggage that comes from several past relationships. And these baggages have no place when it comes to trying to impress another person. So just avoid talking too much about past boyfriends or girlfriends to the one your currently dating. Though you may talk about it once in a while, but that is only when you guys have already been together long.

2. Thou shall not frequent your exes.

If you're not allowed to talk about them that much, you are not also allowed to spend too much time with them. As much as you like to stay friends with your exes, this does not look good to the person you are currently dating. Unless you wanna risk being dumped and being along again.

3. Thou shall learn how to compliment.
Learn how to make the other person feel good about themselves. A little pat on the back when they did something nice, especially for you, is not half-bad. Good ol' fashion compliments are never out of style like telling your date they look good.

4. Thou shall not put your partner to the pedestal.

Though most people like the feeling that other people treat them importantly, overdoing it may also kill it. There's nothing wrong with praising and commending things that your partners have done, but never do this in such a way that you are treating them just like they are gods and goddesses. Just try to treat them like normal people. Remember: no one is perfect.

5. Thou shall not be too enthusiastic.

When we say "too enthusiastic," this include people who acts like stalkers. It's alright to be concerned on what your partner is doing at certain moments, but not every time. There's still a thin line between being caring and being too clingy. YOu don't wanna seem too pathetic also.

6. Thou shall not be too serious.

This means that when you think someone is not into you, just give up. They say that quitting is not good, but it is when it comes to dating. Especially when you see that all your efforts are just going down the drain. It'll be easy for both parties to just move on with the next thing and forget all about it.

7. Thou shall not discuss other men/women.

Jealousy the most common perpetrator of broken relationship. So just don't let this green-eyed monster get in between you and the person you are dating. Avoid talking about other people and saying good things about them.

8. Thou shall not let yourself go.

After you've been able to spend some time with someone, that does not mean that you can let your guard down. Well, you can be comfortable around them at a certain point, but not too much. Just don't forget to do stuff that can impress the other person because admit it, dating is always all about survival of the fittest. And once you let your guard down, you are dead meat.

9. Thou shall not rush into things.

Leave the "wanna go out this weekend?" and "wanna meet my parents?" lines at home especially when you are still on the start of a relationship. You are just bringing awkwardness to much greater levels and that will leave you all alone once again.

10. Thou shall not lose faith.

Faith on whom? Well, yourself. Because no matter what happens, you will always have yourself to fall back into. And besides, if you don't believe that you can find that one special person, you will not. So just continue on dating and never quit until you meet the right one for you.

Signs That You Should Move On

One important lesson every person should learn about dating: when it seems that things are not working out, it's time to bail out. This is to avoid any more wasted time, money and effort. And of course, hurt feelings. But you're probably asking right now how would you know when to bail out. When is the right time that you should call it quits with the person you're dating just because it won't go anywhere? Is there any signs that can tell you to just quit and move on the next person? Well, there are. And here they are...

Invitation declined. This is a clear sign that a person is not that interested in you. If a person keeps on turning down your offer for a cup of coffee or a dinner, eh or she probably is not into you. Especially if it's already the millionth time you ask and they are still saying no.

No friend introduction. One way to see if a relationship is moving forward is through something called comfort zone. And one perk of being in this zone is getting to meet the other person's friends, if not their family. But if you guys have already gone out for a whole month, without him or her saying anything about meeting their friends, my friend, it's time to bail out. This is especially true in cases that you yourself keep on bugging you partner about doing something with his or her friend but he or she always find a way not to go with it.

Always with friends. This is the exact opposite of the above point. Though meeting your partners friends is good, having them always around like bodyguards during dates and what nots, is also a bad sign. This just goes to show that the person does not want to spend time with you alone and they have no interest in you in any way. But you certainly can be friends.

Talking about other people. If your boyfriend keeps on talking about that hot chick she saw or your girlfriend always telling you how she have this huge crush on a guy at work, just take it as a signal that they are no longer interested in you. This is actually a pretty clear sign, and only pathetic losers, or blind and deaf people, won't get.

Avoiding intimate settings. Okay, you may had the chance to bring the person to a dinner or a movie, but when you tried asking her to go away for the weekend or something more intimate, he or she always find an excuse not to come, better say bye-bye as soon as possible. This just goes to show that the other person is not ready for something deeper and more serious. And if you're the person who wants security, then better bail out when this sign comes up.

No physical contact. This includes hand touching, peck on the chick and other small gestures. If you are not getting these stuff, you probably won't have any chance getting more.

Playing cupid. If the person you're dating keeps on setting you up with other people, that just mean that they are not into you. This is especially true with girls. So guys, if the person you are having an interest to keeps on introducing you to her friend and setting you up on dates, the best thing to do is just go on those dates and forget about her.

No call back. The most blatant sign of all. If the person does not return your call, it's pretty obvious that it's time for goodbye.

And for some people, humor is the most effective way how to communicate with others, especially on those first-meeting instances. That is why humor is such an effective tool in attracting other people, may it be for something platonic or something deeper than friendship. I bet you, especially the guys out there, have had experiences wherein a someone you know includes humor as one of the characteristic they are looking for people they wanna meet. But even though only a selected few are born with this gift, you should not fret because there are ways how to learn this craft. So here are some ways on how you can use humor to your advantage during those times you wanna impress or attract other people.

Create suspense, then go for the kill. By pausing when the other person is trying to ask a serious question, you can manage to create suspense and at the same time, put the other person in a spot where they can be excited. And when they are starting to look like a kid staring at his gift on a Christmas morning, give a smart-ass answer still maintaining that poker-face seriousness. Now you're broken the ice and no more awkwardness to follow.

Use some playful sexual misinterpretation. There are many words and phrases that you can use this tactic with. Pick-up lines, I'd like to believe, are the gateway on which a good relationship starts. I know, there really is not magic formula as to become a dating monger. Every case vary, which actually gives it a thrill. Not knowing what will happen still makes dating a lot of fun. But that is if you know what you are doing. That is why I thought that I can give everyone out there some tips when it comes to being better in the dating game.

Be prepared. We've heard it a million of times. Never go to battle unprepared or you're just asking to be killed. If you want to be successful in going out on dates, you should be decided on who you are looking for. Do your research - what you like, what type of person are you willing to meet, etc. You should also be committed when you decide to start dating again. Or else, if you are half-hearted about it, you might as well just sit back home and watch TV rather than getting rejected every time.

Be the best that you can be. This goes with your appearance. It may be wrong and shallow to say, but having that lasting first impression is key when it comes to dating. And of course, how else can you expect to have a good first impression if you don't look good. Why not begin a regime of looking your best. 1. Be on time. As they say, the early bird catches the worm. Punctuality is one key to show your date that you are a responsible individual and you give them importance.

2. Make your partner feel comfortable. If you're the guy, be a gentleman to your date as much as possible. They may say that chivalry have died, but a good gentleman can always get the ladies.
